About The Role

As a Platform engineer at Hypertype you’ll design, operate, and evolve the cloud foundation that keeps our AI products fast, reliable, and cost-efficient. You’ll own GCP architecture (networking, security, deploys), Terraform-based IaC, observability, and SLOs. Your days will involve shaping golden paths for services, improving CI/CD, and partnering with engineers to keep latency and unit costs down as we scale.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on GCP (Kubernetes, VPC, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Define and manage Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, secrets and safe rollouts/rollbacks.
• Establish observability (logs, metrics, tracing), SLOs/SLIs and on-call playbooks; drive incident response improvements.
• Optimise performance and cost (autoscaling, casing, connection pooling, query tuning, storage cycle).
• Collaborate with Software and ML Engineers to set targets, debug production issues and improve developer experience.

Who Are You

• +4 years in Platform/SRE/Cloud Engineering operating production systems.
• Deep experience with GCP or equivalent cloud; strong Terraform/IaC fundamentals.
• Solid grasp of networking, security hardening and least-privilege access.
• Hands-on with observability stacks and SLO/error-budget practices.
• Commitment to very solid reliability, simplicity and creating paved roads for developers.
