About The Role

As a Software Engineer at Hypertype you’ll build end-to-end features across our AI products that customers use through web interfaces, Chrome extensions, and embeddable widgets. You’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and ML to turn ambiguous problems into shipped experiences—owning APIs, integrations, data models, and UI. Your days will involve writing clean TypeScript/Python, hardening reliability and latency and integrating third-party platforms. This is a great opportunity to ship impactful features in a rapidly scaling AI company.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain product features across the stack (Typescript and Python/Rust/Go), from APIs and AI Systems to lightweight UIs and SDKs.
• Build and improve integrations (Gmail, Salesforce, Intercom, etc.): OAuth, rate limits, web hooks, retries, idempotency.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to define, design and ship features; uphold code quality though reviews and best practices.
• Improve performance, reliability and cost on hot paths (p95/p99 latency, error budgets, caching).
• Own features end-to-end and deploy them in our cloud infrastructure.

Who Are You

• +2 years experience building and shipping customer-facing products end-to-end.
• Fluent in Typescript (Next.js / Vite) and Python (FastAPI + more). Bonus points for Rust and Go.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, development tradeoffs and scalable architectures.
• Strong experience building fault-tolerant products with maximum observability.
• Great capacity to make grounded technical decisions that balance speed and quality.
